Rookie said:

I would be worried that this is all warranty/Returned goods.

LadyRed67 said:

Also do not like the idea that it was just unlocked by the people putting up this auction and not having the lock cut off like they are suppose to do and why all the boxes on the left hand side are all ripped open and many fishing rods have been taken out by someone?

daveak1958 said:

Rookie you could be right as it looks like all the reels have line on them, new ones should not.

winnerwinnerchickendinner said:

The way the bidding is going brenda139 is going to be paying retail price for returned fishing stuff i just looked at the video again and i believe this would be returns by looking at it again.

winnerwinnerchickendinner said:

But who ever wants it is going to have to pay some good money

_james_ said:

Not sure if you've all noticed but there's compound bows as well as other fishing gear besides the rods and reels which are most likely returned but in 100% working order. This is a great unit stuffed with expensive merchandise!! I'm keeping my eye on it for sure.

Rookie said:

Sooo, how long have you been working at Newcastle storage James?

Rookie said:

I agree it is a very interesting unit but lets do the math. This is just lower end Walmart/Canadian tire stock but lets 'assume' it's all in good working order.
The youth Tomcat bow sells new at walmart for $80 so if you sold them online you might get $40 each. Lets say there's 20 bows = $800.
There's some lil banshie bows too that retail for $20, so lets say there's 10 of them for $10 each online = $100. So we're up to $900 (Lets say $1000 to be generous).
A lot of the rods have 'Sale' price tags which are $20. Lets be generous and say there's 150 rods and they sold online for $20 each = $3000.
All of the other gear you might get $1000 for it.
So if everything is in good working order and you're able to find a buyer for every item, you might expect to walk away with $5000
The unit is already at $3000 with 4 days to go.
This purely my own thought process and i hope it gives people something to consider but i honestly wish the winner good luck and I really hope they can prove me wrong.

If i win it rookie i will take a video and we can all see how it is because i notice they have sold a few lockers like this in the past smaller 5x5 units looking at there past sales. This way if it is all returned or good stuff you will all know when the next one comes up for sale and can bid accordinly next time.

Newaza said:

Did anyone notice a Raleigh bicycle in a box, looks unopened, possibly a bike in there but who knows. It's unfortunate that Newcastle storage didn't show the lock being cut off in their filming to give more credibility to the locker.
