Whats with the "starting prices" for these lockers.??
By law these storage facilities are entitled to auction off someone else's property once the proper steps have been taken. I don't think the storage facility has the right to look and see what's inside and adjust the starting bid accordingly are they.?? I'm thinking that may be illegal as it is tampering with the outcome of an auction. Say they see a motorcycle in the back, do they get to have a starting bid of $2500.....???
This doesn't seem right, because if the auction is a no sale, I believe the contents of the locker then belong to the storage company..?? I know this case is JUST $40 & $150 but the principle still applies and I'm not so sure this is legal.. Is there not a standard $20 or $25 starting point for ALL lockers.?? This is what I have seen.
